SCEC Endorsed Consultants Briefing

Australian Government departments and agencies may use the services of a Security Construction and Equipment Committee (SCEC)  Security Zone Consultant to establish appropriate physical security environments for the protection of official information and assets. A list of currently endorsed security zone consultants may be found here

The briefing is conducted over three days generally from 8.30am to 5.00pm in Canberra. The cost for the briefing is under review which includes all course materials and a light lunch each day.

Subjects covered in the three day briefing include:

  • Protective Security Manual requirements for Physical Security.
  • Type One Security Alarm System.
  • Practical application of ASIO Technical Notes.
  • Physical security requirements for government assets.
  • Includes an assessment upon completion.

Please note these courses will only be conducted subject to availability of a minimum number of suitable applicants.

A briefing session for suitable new SCEC Endorsed Security Zone Consultants is proposed for:

  • 9th to 11th May 2012.

The briefing sessions for current SCEC Endorsed Consultants renewing in 2012 are:

  • 7th and 8th May 2012; or
  • 6th and 7th August 2012.

Please note these courses will only be conducted subject to availability of a minimum number of suitable applicants.
